Our Team

Judy Strnad

Judy Strnad, MSW, co-founder and CEO of Scrambled Connections, a Survivors Mind–Heart Journey, LLC, ™ has lived in Dayton, Ohio, since 2000. Born and raised in a Chicago suburb, Judy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois, and taught school in the Chicagoland area before getting her Master’s in Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The focus of Judy’s work in education and social services over her professional career has given her an opportunity to work with children, adolescents and families where grief, loss and violence prevailed.

Judy survived Sudden Cardiac Arrest on Super Bowl Sunday 2010 and lives successfully with an Anoxic Brain Injury; the result of receiving no oxygen for 30 minutes. Judy has been a champion in the lives of individuals for 30 years. Today she is shifting her focus to help those survivors of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and those who live with Brain Injuries. Judy welcomes you to “join the journey.”

Pat Mikos

Pat Mikos, M.Ed., co-founder and COO of Scrambled Connections, a Survivors Mind-Heart Journey, LLC, ™ has lived in Dayton, Ohio, since 2000. Born and raised in a western Chicago suburb, Pat received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin, and received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Dayton. Pat’s work in business and education gave her the opportunity to receive her Black Belt in Six Sigma (process Improvement), and a Permanent Non-Tax Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education. This certificate allows her to teach, supervise and be an administrator in Ohio chartered nonpublic schools. Pat especially enjoyed her career in Early Childhood Education before returning to the corporate world of business.

Pat is responsible for starting CPR the minute Judy went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Without her life-saving efforts before the paramedics arrived, Judy would not have survived. Pat is dedicated to working with caregivers who know first-hand the struggles they experience as they care for their loved ones.
